Facebook’s constant evolution can make reaching your ideal consumers, on the world’s most popular social channel, an increasingly difficult task. As Facebook’s “Boosted Post” option seems to be the only viable means of reaching your consumers, it’s made it even more difficult for small businesses to do so. And as the saying goes, money doesn’t grow on trees. Thankfully, there are ways in which you can still reach a large number of consumers on Facebook without breaking the bank.
1. Don’t be a robot
Consumers tend to get turned off by the same, monotonous information being thrown at them on Facebook. Instead, show a little personality when posting on Facebook, don’t be afraid to let consumers know that there is a human being controlling the channel behind the scenes. And while it may take a while, work on creating a “voice” for your business that consumers can get accustomed to. That will lead to them coming back to your page and interacting with your posts.
2. Use images
Just like kids and their picture books, consumers love seeing images! If you’re a B2C business, share images of your products or services as much as possible. On the other hand, if you’re a B2B business this may be tougher, but you can use info-graphics to share data and statistics about your products and the business itself. Consumers will be much more inclined to interact with a post featuring an image than one with a slew of words.
3. BE CREATIVE
The most important thing when posting to Facebook for your business, HAVE FUN! Be smart in the content you post, but try to get as creative with your posts as you can. There’s nothing wrong with posting a quirky office photo, or a funny meme. Use posts to get consumers to interact, whether it’s a Facebook contest for a prize or voting for who you think will win the Super Bowl. While publishing informational posts is necessary, consumers want to be entertained more than anything. Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box when it comes to posting on Facebook.
You don’t have to have a million dollar budget to reach your consumers on Facebook. All it takes is having a little personality, being creative and more importantly, having fun!
